My name is Mariia, I was born on November 2, 2005 in the beautiful city of Odesa. Since childhood, drawing has been my passion. My parents often remember how I painted wallpaper in their room, turning the walls into real art objects (well, at least it seemed so to me). Of course, they were not always delighted with my creative experiments, but these moments only strengthened my love for art and my desire to create something new and unusual.
In 2012 I went to school. Since kindergarten I have attended various art, music and vocal classes. I always liked to try myself in different directions of creativity, and over time I realized that it brings me real pleasure and fills my life with meaning.
However, in high school, around 8th or 9th grade, I started to think about the future and dreamed of studying in another country. It seemed to me that abroad I would be able to fulfill my potential and discover new horizons. But my parents had their own ideas about my future: my dad wanted me to become a doctor, and my mom saw me as a successful translator.
At that moment I was ready to follow my mom's advice and become a translator. Everything was going that way, but one day an event happened that changed everything and helped me find my true path.
Everything changed because of the events in my country. I went to live in Spain, where I started to study at a local school while continuing my 11th grade studies in Ukraine online. It was not easy, but I managed to cope.
In Spain, I completed 4º ESO and successfully completed 11th grade in Ukraine with honors. In 2023, I received my diplomas from both schools with good grades, confirming my efforts and pursuit of knowledge. This experience taught me resilience and responsibility and I am proud of my achievements.
In 2023, after graduating from high school, I decided to enroll as an interactive graphic product assistant. It was a very exciting step, because I had to take the entrance exam, and I was very worried that I might not pass it.
After writing the exam and coming to find out the results, I heard the cherished word: “Accepted”. I have more free time in my life, because now I can spend more time on my studies, which brings me pleasure.
In 2024, I am already in my second year of study, which I am incredibly happy about, because my profession brings me great pleasure. This year has been particularly meaningful for me, as I have had the amazing opportunity to do an internship in another country.
In 2025, I will be traveling to the Netherlands for a professional internship. This is a chance I have always dreamed of and I am looking forward to this new stage in my life.
